The gym is a great advantage and hobby. With the right diet and training, you can go from fat or skinny to muscular and lean. You transform your natural body into something more attractive. At the same time, you also get stronger. It’s not hard to get stronger than someone who was naturally stronger than you but doesn’t lift weights.

At the end though, the hobby of weightlifting breeds narcissism when people do it for looks and not for sport. It is a confidence booster but some people let it go to their heads. First thing they think is that they can beat up anyone smaller or weaker than them. This is not the case. Lifting helps you punch harder but not by much. Generating force is done through technique and speed. Nothing matters if you can’t land. In addition, lifting does not help your punch resistance. Perhaps the greatest benefit is the boost in grappling.
