Many people judge by appearance in order to access physical ability. Traits include height, weight, musculature, and even physical markings like tattoos. While some of these traits are positively correlated with height and athletic ability, it does not mean they are skilled in unarmed combat. In addition, just being muscular and “aesthetic” does not mean you will be more powerful.
In fact, you often see this in MMA and boxing. The “ripped” one may not necessarily win. The advantage of being ripped beings you get to have more muscle weight for your weight class, so it is an advantage. However, this small increase in performance does not mean the gap in other categories can be bridged. Examples are Roy Nelson and Fedor, who destroyed many people with more aesthetic and muscular physiques.
